Upgrades

Upgrade I - Wheels

Research has shown that approximately 60% of beginners give up skateboarding after just three attempts. One major reason identified is that nearly 80% of beginners start on tough street surfaces using skateboards with 51mm, 101A hardness wheels, which are more suited to smooth skatepark and pool terrains. This makes it difficult to control and easy to fall, leading to frustration and abandonment of the sport. To address this, we have upgraded our wheels to 53mm, 88A hardness, enhancing control and balance for a more enjoyable skating experience on regular roads.

Upgrade II - Trucks & Bearings

Understanding our customers' love for skateboarding, we've upgraded our trucks to A356 aluminum alloy and included medium carbon steel shafts. Our bearings are now 608RS ABEC-9 steel, offering durability and reliability for extensive skateboarding sessions.

Upgrade III - Hardware & Technology

Our vision is to create skateboards that stand the test of time, enticing future generations to pick them up from garages or basements years later. To achieve this, we use salt spray tested hardware and employ laser marking & thermal transfer technology for enhanced durability and aesthetic appeal.

Why Upgrade

We researched why approximately 50% of beginners give up skateboarding after their first three attempts. Most beginners start on rough street surfaces, but their first skateboards often come equipped with small, hard wheels designed for smooth skatepark and pool terrains. This mismatch makes it difficult to control and prone to falls, resulting in a lack of enjoyment and subsequent abandonment of the sport. To address this issue, we upgraded our wheels to 53mm, 88A durometer, which are slightly larger and softer, providing better balance and control for learning skating and tricks on ordinary roads.
